Morsel Mini's Are On The Way!

We're excited to announce that orders including Morsel Mini's will be shipping this week! They look spectacular and we promise they'll be worth the wait.

If you didn't order a Mini yet but don't want to miss out, have no fear! They'll be available on our website in about a week, just as soon as we've finished shipping to all of our backers.

It's been fantastic starting to see Morsel in the wild, and we've loved seeing all the #morselspork tags on social media. Just a reminder, we'll be chosing our favorite posts every month to send free sporks, so tag us for a chance to win!

Two days ago we received our first samples of Morsel Mini, pictured above, and the samples are pretty dang nice, don't you think?

It's been fantastic watching the positive reactions from our backers who have received their Morsels. Don't forget to tag #morselspork on social media for a chance to win free sporks!

As a reminder, if you selected or added Morsel Mini in your Backerkit Survey, your order will not ship until Mini is ready. We are still on track for shipping Morsel Mini in December!

Morsel Spork: Now Shipping!

That's right: Morsel is finally shipping!  

Our Kickstarter orders started shipping out this weekend, and backers should start receiving their Morsel Sporks in the mail in the next two weeks, with some backers receiving their sporks in the next few days! The spoons should be shipping about a week later.  

We appreciate your patience while our inventory was being packaged and prepared for shipment. In total, our first batch of sporks weighs around 1400 pounds - that's a LOT of sporks to prepare!  

Morsel's early testers have already used Morsel on the Pacific Crest Trail, in the Wyoming backcountry, and up in ze Alps. Now it's your turn! We want to see how YOU enjoy your new sporks in the wild. Upload your best pics/vids to Facebook or Instagram and tag #morselspork and you could win a free Morsel 5-pack. We'll be picking a few of our favorite posts each month.

Manufacturing Updates

Our factory in California has been cranking out sporks as quick as they can since our molds first arrived. As planned, they've been molding sporks (and spoons!) in order of most popular colors and styles, so we can start shipping asap. All of the blue sporks are nearly done, red is wrapping up, and on down through the rainbow.

Per our previous update, we'll be shipping in the same order that our production completes, with orders of blue sporks shipping first, and orders with spoons shipping last. The first shipments will be going out in late September, with the final orders wrapping up mid October. Morsel Mini molds are still in progress, and we're expecting to start shipping Mini in early December. As a reminder, all orders that include a Mini won't ship until then.  

We need to say another big, BIG thank-you to all of our backers. Launching Morsel has been a real rollercoaster - it started off with a simple goal: craft a unique utensil, and share it with the masses. We never imagined that Morsel would receive such an immensely positive response, and we're excited to see everything finally coming to fruition. While there have been some delays, please know that every step of the way we've been pushing our factory to crank out quality sporks as quickly as possible. The massive scale of our first order is taking our factory some time to finish but we're finally on the home stretch. And we promise they'll be worth the wait.

Morsel Manufacturing Updates

We have a few quick updates on our manufacturing and shipping timeline!

After close inspection of our first samples, we had our factory make a few more mold refinements to improve upon some minor cosmetic defects (if you're into the technical stuff, we're tuning some flash, parting line mismatches, and texturing). We only get one shot at getting our molds perfect, so we're working with our factory to get everything dialed before we start cranking these things out by the thousands.  

Our #1 priority is delivering top-notch sporks (and spoons!) to our backers as soon as possible, but we don't want to rush things and sacrifice part quality. We want to deliver the super spectacular sporks you're all expecting. Right now, we're on track to start shipping sporks the first week in September, with spoons shipping a week later. We're molding the sporks in order of popularity, then shipping from our factory to fulfillment center (both in California).  

We couldn't have made it this far without the support of all of our wonderful backers, so thank-you all for supporting Morsel and helping us make it a reality.
